Trips are read only

Trip condition "Read only"

If you receive a hint in the trip planning, that the trip is "read only" and therefore it is not possible to change it, then there could be several reasons for this condition that you can check. This is an internal condition within PTV Smartour which will be set during the read process of the trips in the trip planning and is only temporarily set. Activate the column "Obect information" in the trip grid and check the following hints:

Reason: The start or the end of the trip is outside the planning period.
Solution: enhance the planning period.

Reason: at least one order of this trip hast the status "read only" because:

1. the order lies not or not totally in the selected planning period
2. the sites of the order are not geocoded
3. the orders ha no valid customer interval
4. the order has not the corresponding task field assigned

Solution: enhance the planning period / geocode the corresponding site / check the opening intervals / Assign the correct task field.

Reason: the start- / enddepot of the trip is not active.
Solution: activate all depots of the trip; they should be activated in the tab sheet "Depot" (green background).

Reason: the motor vehicle / trailer / combination, attached to this trip is not available.
Solution: check the availabilities from all attached vehicles / trailers / combinations in the module vehicle management.

Reason: you are working with several task fields and orders from task filed "A" are planned with vehicles / trailers / combinations from taskfield "B"
Solution: Make sure, that all orders and ressources arre from the selected task fields.

Reason: you are working with several task fields and some are loaded as "read only".
Solution: read the task fields with read/write rights.

Hint
If a trip is in execution (telematics status="sent") or is already finalized (return status="completed") then the trip can be changed only severely limited when at all, but the trip has not the internal condition "read only".
